Good afternoon my fellow horror lovers,
Is anyone aware of any new horror movies coming out in theatres soon? I feel like we haven’t really had anything good since last year, which is no good! I don’t know about you, but I need some new horror in my life!
Today I bought the film You’re Next, which I saw in theatres and I’m going to watch again later so I’ll be sure to write a review as well. I also ordered The Walking Dead season 3 and Sorority Row on Amazon, so I should get those sometime next week. I already have seasons 1 and 2 of The Walking Dead and I found season 3 on sale so I needed to get it! Sorority Row I watched in theatres a few years ago, and it’s definitely not the best film ever but I thought it was pretty good and found it for $5 so I thought I’d get it. Has anyone else bought any horror lately? 🙂
Horror Lovers 
I would have to agree that there haven’t been any real good horror movies out since last year. As for movie’s go Sorority Row was a okay movie but I think it would have been a little bit better if they had more of a plot to it. As for the movie Your Next, I have yet to watch it but it looks decent enough to me. I did however buy some new horror movies but they’re not new. I’m not sure if World War Z is classified as horror but I got that, The haunting of Helena and The Cabin in the Woods. 🙂
You’re right about Sorority Row, it definitely could have been better, but it was alright. It was only $5 so I thought I could watch it a few more times. You’re Next received mixed reviews, but I enjoyed it quite a bit. If you like slasher films, you’ll enjoy it. Slasher films are my absolute favourite myself! World War Z is an excellent film! I would definitely categorize it as horror. I bought it on boxing day 🙂 The Cabin in the Woods is a bit of an odd one, I bought it a month or two ago as well haha. I haven’t heard of The Haunting in Helena, is it fairly new? I really hope some good ones come out soon!
It looks like it’s going to be a light year for horror films. IMDB says there’s nothing till October. Then in October there are 3, another Dracula story, Paranormal Activity 5 and something called Kitchen Sink, which is being billed as a horror/comedy. Then nothing again for November and December. So if IMDB is right, there will only be 3 horror films this year, none of them particularly interesting (although I will inevitably watch the new Drac. I’m a vampaholic :-p )
Oh no! That really sucks, how can they expect us to go so long without new horror movies?! Well, I didn’t like the 1st Paranormal Activity and have not seen the rest, so that ones out. Horror/ comedies are not really my thing personally, few are very good. As for the Dracula movie, does it look interesting? Lol, I hope you mean GOOD vampire movies, and not crap like twilight
Vampire films have been done so badly the past few years! What are your favourites?
I was looking around some more, and there are a few coming that aren’t on the IMDB list I saw, which is weird. They’re usually pretty good at keeping all the “coming soons” straight. There’s I, Frankenstein that looks pretty good, although that’s more action than horror. But there’s Occulus coming, and that looks pretty scary, plus has Doctor Who’s Karen Gillan.
I like all kinds of vampire films. Yes, even the “crappy” ones like Twilight, but they aren’t my favourites. My all time fav is still The Lost Boys. It’s been my favourite since I was a kid. Interview with the Vampire and Dracula are also favourites, but I really do like almost all of them. A vampire film has to be truly abysmal for me not to like it.
Oh! And there’s also Deliver Us From Evil, and exorcism film with Eric Bana.
