Men-In-Horror-For-Women

Hello Horror Lovers!

My apologies for not posting in about three weeks! I have been very busy with school, work, etc., so unfortunately I have been forgetting to post! I was also unable to get into my account for some reason for the past few days, that should be fixed now though.

I recently watched Eli Roth’s The Green Inferno, and enjoyed it quite a bit. It’s about a group of college students who travel across the globe to save the land where a Native tribe live from construction crews, and their plane ends up crashing and those who survive the crash are taken by the tribe. The tribe are cannibals so the students try to escape with their lives. There is a lot of gore, cannibalism, gross bodily fluids and nudity in the film so it is not for the faint of heart. I had been waiting to see the film for well over a year and knew a lot about it so I felt fully prepared, but I’m sure other people were shocked by the movie. I enjoyed it though, and would recommend it to anyone who isn’t bothered by cannibalism, gore or very intense films.

Here are my ratings for Supernatural season one, episodes four, five and six.

Episode 4: Phantom Traveler
A former client of Dean’s calls him up when a plane crashes under very mysterious circumstances. After another strange crash occurs, Dean and Sam must board a flight in danger to save the other passengers, even though Dean is terrified of flying.
Rating: 9.5/10. It was a good, and very comical episode!

Episode 5: Bloody Mary
A man dies of an apparent stroke in front of a mirror but Sam and Dean believe something, or someone (Bloody Mary), may be behind his death. Dean tries to help Sam open up about his girlfriend’s death after Sam lets it slip that there’s some information that he hasn’t told Dean about Jessica’s death.
Rating: 10/10. Bloody Mary is dark, creepy, and is one of my favourite episodes from season one!

Episode 6: Skin
Sam’s friend Zach is accused of murder, so Sam offers to help out by checking up on his sister Rebecca, and looking into the case. Rebecca claims that her brother could not have committed the murder because he was with her at the time the murder occurred. Unfortunately, all the physical evidence the police have points to Zach being at the scene of the crime. Sam and Dean have to find out what happened, and wonder could Zach have been at two places at the same time?
Rating: 8.5/10. I like that this episode is fleshy and gross, and has a few particularly funny lines.
